Blum Hinge Pattern – Hinge Drilling for your Cabinet Doors
We drill only if purchasing Hinges from us. The reason for this is to stop any problems associated with European Hinges. These hinges vary in depth, swing and overlay to name a few. Placement of the drilled hole in most cases is unique to that particular hinge. HOW TO USE OUR HINGE DRILLING DROP DOWN BOX What we are looking for here is the # of doors that need to be drilled Left and the # of doors that need to be drilled Right. Not the # of holes. We will drill 3” down from the top and 3” up from the bottom. On doors 42” and over we will also drill a 3rd hole at the half way point so be sure to order the correct # of Hinges. Example, if you have 2 doors the same size, enter them on the same line in quote, if you need one drilled left and one drilled right, in the drop down for Hinge Drilling, choose one in the left box and one in the right box.
To ensure a perfect fit, we offer Hinge Drilling as an option ONLY when you add your hinges from our selection of hinges to your quote. All our Hinges conform to the Blum Hinge Pattern and that is the only hinge boring pattern we offer.
The Blum Hinge Pattern consists of two 8mm holes and one center 35mm hole as seen in this photo. By having us drill the Hinge Pattern, you are assured of a perfect fit for your kitchen cabinet door or cabinet door installation. Let our expert craftsmen simplify your installation by drilling for you.
In order to correctly identify the hinge side, face the door from the front; if the handle is on the right, the hinges go on the left so you would select “Drill Left Side” when you add your doors to the quote.
